University College’s Writing Center offers dozens of writing workshops over the course of a semester – with topics like “Recipe for Success: Combining sources and claims to cook up a great research paper,” “Selling Your Work: Writing successful proposals, abstracts, and introductions” and “Taking Control: Strengthening organization in graduate level writing.”
Their workshops, they claim, are about more than writing – they’re “about curiosity and imagination, about using sources and expressing ideas, about being creative and thinking critically.”
Led by experienced writing center consultants, each workshop offers an opportunity to work interactively on a particular thinking, reading, or writing skill.
Workshops are open to anyone in the VCU community. No registration is required.
