A showing of City of Borders (a documentary about a gay bar in the heart of Jerusalem that for several years defied generations of segregation, violence, and prejudice), followed by commentary and discussion with Professor Amanullah de Sondy, Department of Religious Studies, University of Miami

Professor De Sondy connects the study of religion to the themes of gender, ethnicity, race, and pluralism. Whilst teaching Islamic Studies at the University of Glasgow, he was the lead researcher on “Philanthropy for Social Justice in British Muslim Societies,” a project funded by the Ford Foundation.
