Samantha Mays, a freshman majoring in Biology Education, wrote a letter to congress as part of a Political Science class, but it has gained momentum after she posted it to Facebook. Samantha was recently contacted by a local news channel to talk about her letter to U.S. Senator Marke Warner. In her interview she spoke about the lack of funding towards childhood cancer research.
