The College is pleased to announce the appointment of three new Dean’s Fellows, Robert Lee Franco, Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences, Christine Mowery, Assistant Professor (non-tenure eligible) in the Department of Sociology, and Mayda Topoushian, Assistant Professor (non-tenure eligible) in the School of World Studies. Lee, Christine, and Mayda will be joining Anette Fjeldstad and Susan Bodnar-Deren, who will continue in their current roles as Dean’s Fellows. The purpose of the Dean’s Fellows is to expose faculty to opportunities for leadership and administration.
Lee will be working with Don Young, Executive Associate Dean for Finance and Administration, along with Susan Bodnar-Deren. Christine will be working with James Mays, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies. Mayda will be working with McKenna Brown, Special Assistant to the Dean for Global Initiatives and the Office of Faculty Affairs. Anette will continue her work with Ed Acevedo, Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Strategic Initiatives.
Dean Fuentes offers her warmest congratulations to all five of our outstanding Dean’s Fellows and is confident that they will each make very valuable contributions to our College community in the coming year.
