CHS Staff Professional Development Workshop

Wednesday, March 16th
9:00am – 12:00pm noon

On behalf of the Dean’s Office, the College’s Diversity and Equity Committee presents a morning of professional development for CHS Staff Wednesday, March 16, 2016, from 9:00 – 12:00 noon. This event will be held in the University Student Commons, 907 Floyd Avenue, Forum Room, 1st floor. Breakfast will be available (view flier).

During that morning, the Writing Center will host a one hour workshop on “Writing to the Audience”, facilitated by Mr. Brian McTague, Director, VCU Writing Center. The workshop will address the differences between the writer and the reader and will give best tips on how you can write for your intended audience. The second workshop will be facilitated by Educational Consultant, Dr. Dana Davis. Dr. Davis is recommended to us by VCU’s Office of Continuing Professional Education. She has experience in educational leadership and providing high quality professional development workshops/ training. She believes in the power of every individual making a difference! She will be providing a highly engaging and interactive session on “Lead From Where You Are” and “Building Your Brand”.
