Chemistry Professor Named “Volunteer of the Year”

Dr. Joseph “Jody” Turner, Director of Instrumentation and Service Associate Professor of Chemistry, was unanimously selected as Goochland County Public Schools’ Volunteer of the Year!  Dr. Turner was nominated for being a prominent figure at the schools’ STEM camp, Conundrum Day, the STEM advisory committee, and a mentor at both the middle and high schools.  He dedicates his time and efforts in helping the children at these schools while still maintaining his busy teaching schedule here at VCU!  Congratulations on a well deserved honor Jody!

The award was presented by the Goochland County Public Schools and the Goochland Chamber of Commerce, at a luncheon held at the Hermitage Country Club on Thursday, November 12th.
